Arrival and New Student Orientation
For fall 2016, you should plan on arriving to the UNC campus as early as possible (August 17 is earliest move-in date), as the majority of UNC students will be moving in over the weekend. If you are living in on-campus housing, you should plan to arrive directly at your assigned community location. You will be responsible for getting yourself from the airport to the UNC-Chapel Hill campus. There will be lots of local transportation options available outside of baggage claim at RDU airport. To locate your specific on-campus residence address for transportation purposes please visit http://housing.unc.edu/whats-my-address. For other information/resources regarding your on-campus housing please log back in to our housing portal using your ONYEN at https://myhousing.unc.edu.

All MOD 1/fall 2016 undergraduate classes begin on Tuesday, August 23rd for which you must be in attendance. Make sure you have your course schedule complete and know when/where each course is held. All of your BUSI courses are held at Kenan-Flagler Business School in the McColl Building. As a reminder, you may access your student and course information in ConnectCarolina You will also have the opportunity to adjust your schedule once you arrive to UNC, if need be. You have complete access to adjust your schedule online. If a particular course is closed you must obtain permission of the instructor to be registered. Our office cannot assist you with that. We encourage you to attend the first class session to show interest and speak with the instructor about being added. You need to be registered at all times for a minimum of 12 credit hours for your visa. Exchange students may not enroll in more than 18 credit hours. If you are registered for a MOD 2 course, these will not begin meeting until October.
